Recently, the 12-QAM scheme with two-time dimensions was proposed to reduce PAPR for the transmitter by removing corner signal points in the constellation. This paper proposes an efficient method to apply the 12-QAM scheme with two-space dimensions including error correction on the constellation to the Alamouti space-time block coding for reliable communications. In the performance results, the error performance of the Alamouti space-time block coding using the proposed QAM is compared with the one using the existing QAM. Abstract
The space-time block coding scheme was developed to reduce the bit error rate for the receiver by transmitting multiple copies of the data during several symbol times. Recently, the 12-QAM scheme with two-time dimensions was proposed to reduce PAPR for the transmitter by removing corner signal points in the constellation.
