Abstract

Renewable energy sources (RES) are growing rapidly as a result of energy security requirements and the environmental concerns. In spite of their many advantages, they yet pose many challenges to power grid operation. Therefore, appropriate rules and regulations ought to be formulated regarding the integration of these new sources into existing power grids. A comprehensive study of renewable energy systems integration using DIgSILENT PowerFactory software is conducted in this work.
