The optimization of the system is carried out by using Particle swarm optimization (PSO) to find the best switching pattern which leads to minimal loss confined to all equality and inequality constrains allied to distribution system. In this paper IEEE-33 Bus distribution system is taken for study and the results obtained are compared with the one with optimization with Genetic algorithm.
