Abstract

The influence of various Xe contents to Ne gas on the excited Xe (1s4) atoms by laser absorption spectroscopy (LAS), and in turn on the luminous efficiency in AC-PDPs are studied. Also the spatial distribution of excited Xe(1s4) versus various Xe mixtures to Ne has been investigated. A mixture of Xe to Ne gas has been varied to be 4%, 7% and 10% at gas pressure of 300, 400, 500 and 600 Torr in this experiment.
