Using Garrett’s ranking method identified constraints were evaluated and finalized the major one which is restricting the farmers to adopt mechanization in homestead agriculture. It was found that the cultural operations were done using manual labour. Hence drudgery involved in the system was found to be more and time consumption also was high. These two factors need to be addressed hence appropriate and affordable mechanization was required to sustain homestead agriculture.
