Abstract

Describes the design and implementation of a fuzzy logic controller for a splitter in a house cooling system. The fuzzy controller uses nine rules to determine the flow of cool air needed in different rooms depending on the temperature level and humidity level. The controller is implemented using FUZZLE 1.8, a rule based logic shell for generating fuzzy logic inference engines. The results indicate that fuzzy controllers can emulate the ability to reason and use approximate data to maintain the comfort level in a house.<>
