Abstract

This paper presents a grid-tied renewable photovoltaic (PV) Distributed static compensator (DSTATCOM) system using a modified $l_0$ norm Least Mean Kurtosis (LMK) algorithm. The proposed system meets the power demand of the load side during daytime and maintains the power quality of the system as per the IEEE standard. Excess power during this time is transferred to the grid. During nighttime it improves the power quality of the system.
