It is also necessary for students to understand the world culture and improve their humanities quality. This paper also focuses on the analysis and research of humanity quality in college English teaching, and explores the reasons for the lack of humanistic quality education in English teaching. 1. Reasons for the lack of humanistic quality education in English teaching At present, the teaching pressure of college English teaching is mainly the pressure brought by the college English 4-6. Most of the students pay more attention to mastering the language ability and coping with the English CET-6, but this also makes the students have English culture. The understanding is not deep enough. Although I have mastered the language ability, it is only a mechanical language cognition, instead of really learning the language culture and mastering cross-cultural communication skills.This will lead to this situation not only for students, but also for the inappropriate teaching methods of English teachers. Because teachers' teaching methods are not appropriate, it seriously hinders the development of students' imagination and creativity.This article also conducts a series of research and discussion around the way of English teaching, from the perspective of students, to improve students' interest in English learning. 1.1 Social inclination For a long time, China's university education has focused on professional education, which means that students' professional skills are more important. However, there is a certain neglect of the students' humanistic qualities. At the same time, it is caused by the importance of students' career choices. Ignore the student's personality education.English is a language tool for most people, but English is widely used, so people are slowly realizing the importance of English ability. 1.2 School inclination College English CET-6 has become an important basis for measuring students' English proficiency and teachers' English teaching. Therefore, teachers also use English test-oriented ability as the main teaching, and more focus on teaching students English knowledge instead of English. Culture and English are completely used as language tools in this way of teaching.Because exam-oriented education has been popular in China for many years, both students and teachers attach great importance to the results, which leads to the school's teaching content will be more focused on the corresponding test, but with the development of the times, the drawbacks of this model have also It is revealed, so now I am slowly adjusting the teaching content of the school. 1.3 personal inclination Because students do not pay enough attention to the study of English courses, there is not enough humanity for English learning, and many students' English learning purposes are only through English 4-6, and some students are not only enthusiasm for English learning, but also for English learning.
