From the chair

Abstract

This is my final column as your SIGHPC Chair. As I write the column, the SIGHPC election is underway. I first wanted to thank the other elected SIG officers: Vice Chair John West, Treasurer Rajeev Thakur, and At- Large Members Torsten Hoefler and Michela Taufer. Thanks also go to appointed members of the EC: Verónica Vergara (Meetings), Melyssa Fratkin (Communications), Rich Vuduc (Newsletter), Barbara Horner-Miller (Student Programs), Christine Harvey (Membership), and Suzanne McIntosh (Website). Finally, we have two ex-offico members of the EC: Cherri Pancake (Past Chair) and Bernd Mohr (SC Steering Liaison). Thanks for your hard work on making SIGHPC a success.
