Abstract

The petal antenna has structural mechanical errors, which causes electrical performance to differ from design values. In this paper, the power pattern variation interval under the same error of standard paraboloid and three groups of shaped surfaces is studied. By performing some numerical simulations using the Monte Carlo method, the antenna generatrix least sensitive to error is found. Results of this paper also indicates that further optimization of the shaped generatrix is necessary.
