Abstract
Connected and autonomous cars present a major challenge for securing vehicles against outside or inside attacks which may affect the safety of the driver. In this paper there is a comparison between seven light weight authenticated algorithms, and a classification of automotive embedded systems for helping in choosing the suitable algorithm for each application as per system safety and security requirements.
