The cannula can then be removed, so that only the polyimide electrode remains inside the muscle. Based on this concept, a 16-channel recording electrode as well as a 3-channel stimulation electrode were developed and tested in human volunteers. Abstract
This paper describes a new kind of multi-channel electrode for selectively interfacing the muscular system. Application of the system is similar to conventional intramuscular wire electrodes.
