Research on the Measurement of China's High-quality Economic Development Level

Abstract

The high quality development of economy in the new period has become an issue that academic circles pay close attention to. Based on the five new development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing, this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of high-quality economic development that contains 14 basic indicators, and measures and evaluates China's economic development level in 2018 with the help of TOPSIS method of entropy weight. The results show that high-quality economic development has different characteristics in innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing. Overall, the level of innovation development is the highest while the level of shared development is the lowest. The high quality economic development of each province in China has obvious regional imbalance, and presents a step-like spatial distribution pattern of decreasing from east to middle to west.
