Abstract

The photovoltaic (PV) system earn more importance in the last decade in view to respond the high needs in terms of electrical energy, especially in isolated region such as the case of in Algeria. The rapidly performance degradation is a challenge for the choice and dimensioning of panels in the Mediterranean climate or desert climate. However, mitigating the degradation performance of the PV system under working climate still one of the important challenging problem that many researchers are working on it. In which. However, the PV module manufacturers show only in the nameplate with only essential PV electrical parameters under standard testing conditions (STC), Several studies have been made to assess the degree of degradation of PV modules in different climates in Algeria using different methods, either physical or semi-empirical methods. This paper are mainly based on the measurement of outdoor PV parameters of PV module and evaluating its performance in different ranges of solar radiation and temperature after adapting an electro thermal analytical model to fit our measurements. The evaluation of the PV module parameters by the outdoor experimental procedure demonstrate that very accurate measurements are possible using an outdoor PV characterization system and reflects well the performance. For a good understanding of the behavior of outdoor modules, the results of this method can be important for PV module manufacturers and researchers.
