Abstract
For a high penetration of intermittent renewable energy sources, the transmission capacity constraints become more important for secure and economic operation of power systems because of the high variability in the transmission line current. In this study, the fundamental characteristics of the dynamic optimal power flow are analyzed with the line-temperature constraints in transmission networks.
