Abstract

This study investigates the vulnerability of malicious instruction injection caused by low-power IEMI on internet-of-things (IoT) devices. The communication antennas of the devices with wireless functions have possibilities to generate the potential vulnerability that the IEMI effectively propagates into the devices. Based on experiments, we verified the possibility of injecting malicious instructions from the communication channels by the IEMI.
