Abstract
This paper describes a 76-77 GHz radar sensor that is used for detecting obstacles at road/rail intersections. The paper describes some of the key aspects of the applications and the radar design, with emphasis on the need for good characterization of the radars’ antennas. To meet this need, an automated characterisation procedure has been developed and is described in this paper.
