Summary form only given. The simulation of a Ka band klystron with a permanent magnet focusing system is presented in this paper. The klystron is expected to produce 1 kW output peak power at Ka band. Initial simulations with 1D large signal analytic code, JAPANDISK, predicts 25% efficiency.
