The scope of the DEI practitioner role in academic nursing varies. Concerns include role confusion and DEI practitioner titles. In this article, we offer recommendations for establishing a DEI practitioner position, including best practices for scope, titling, authority, time allocation, salary/compensation and resources/staffing.
