Abstract
A spreadsheet program to estimate individual magnetic field exposure within a residence is described. The magnetic field exposure (MFE) program allows utilities a quick means of determining the relative magnetic field exposure for a specific customer without an extended measurement process. Magnetic field exposure is defined as the amount of magnetic field a person is being subjected to over a specified time, expressed in milligauss-hours. One result of the MFE computation is a composite exposure index (CEI) which is defined as the total magnetic exposure received from all sources divided by the exposure period. The program is based on two accurate means of computing exposure for appliances and power lines. It divides the information into exposure groups to better display the large amount of data.<>
