Abstract
In this paper, METU VAD+ which is designed and implemented for ECESS (European Center of Excellence on Speech Synthesis) VAD+ (Voice activity and voicing detection) evaluation campaign is described and the results of the campaign is presented. The results of the campaign has shown that METU VAD+ gives better performance as voice activity detector on speech sounds recorded in excessive noise environments.
