Abstract
A national continuous project "Science and Technology Collage Campus for Adolescents (STCCA)" was started in 2012 by China Association of Science and Technology (CAST) and Ministry of Education (MOE). Top universities, institutes and companies cooperate with CAST on planning and implementation of the project every year. This research evaluated the process and effect of STCCA in 2016. Online survey (Likert's Five-option Scale questionnaire), interview and case study were adopted to detect the satisfaction degree overall and describe and extract characteristics of the project. As a result, 10593 effective questionnaires in total were collected. 60 participants from 5 campus were interviewed. Materials and observation of some activities were obtained and generated. Based on the analysis, two main conclusions were reached as a) most participants considered a high quality of STCCA and b) STCCA effectively employed national science and technology resources, raised students' scientific literacy and broadened their field of vision. The connection between the mode and effect of STCCA was discussed and advice for the future development of STCCA as well as other similar project was given.
