Abstract
Several motility parameters have been reported for laboratory hosts like E. coli in open fluid/semi-fluid spaces, whereas these have hardly been studied in restricted geometries and sub-micron spaces. The study here reports the turn direction preferences and velocity of E. coli HCB437 in a squared maze and discusses the global significance of these results to host-microbial surface interactions, anti-microbial surfaces and other biological applications.
