Abstract
In the paper the electronic application is introduced which was designed within the project “A flexible model of the ICT supported educational process reflecting individual learning styles” running at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic since 2010. The main project objective is to verify whether accommodating individual learning styles results in increasing the level of learner's knowledge. The paper introduces the C. A. Johnston's approach to learning styles, including the Learning Combination Inventory which was applied to detect individual student's style. The results are considered by the application which was designed to generate and offer the appropriate type of study materials and related learning activities according to individual student's preferences, and thus enable to tailor the process of instruction to the student's needs.
