Abstract

Visual activity is a term that some authors use to describe motion and movement in video content and same authors also have proved increase in visual activity of video content during the last few decades. Background subtraction algorithms are commonly used for motion detection in the field of computer vision. In this paper one new approach for visual activity measuring with these algorithms will be discussed and compared with Visual Activity Index, the only available comprehensive approach for visual activity measuring.
