Abstract

In recent years, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology has been widely investigated for both point-to-point underwater acoustic communications and for networks. In this paper, we implement the OFDM underwater acoustic communication algorithm on an OMAP-L138 platform, which possesses characteristics of low-power, rich peripheral and dual-core cooperation. The real-time processing capacity and good expansibility of this system have been verified. An error-free communication result has been achieved in a quasi-stationary pool experiment.
