The role of ICT and the problems of organizing Distance education in Uzbekistan

Abstract

nowadays, distance education is a form of education, in which the best traditional and innovative methods, means and forms of learning based on computer and telecommunication technologies are used in educational process. The relationship between work and life-long learning is inseparable. Professional knowledge becomes out of date very quickly, so its regular improvement is necessary. Today the world telecommunication infrastructure provides the possibility of creating systems of mass ongoing self-education, universal exchange of information regardless of time and space zones.Today, the educational system of the Republic of Uzbekistan adapts the rich advanced world experience in teaching and modern pedagogical and information technologies. However, in higher education system, due to the number of obstacles, this adaptation goes slowly. The main problem of distance education development is the creation of new methods and learning technologies that correspond to the telecommunication environment of communication. The introduction of distance education will bring to Uzbekistan a rapid integration into the world economic educational and information space.
