Review on MAC layer delay computation methods in wireless networks

Abstract

In the last few decades, the communications took place as wired communication so we had problems related to equipment portability, power and safety. At present scenario we have been coming up with wireless communication, which is booming in the current decade by the usage of Ad-hoc networks. In ad-hoc networks, we had a huge issue in related to delay in transmission. In this paper, we present the different delay computation methods of MAC protocols on wireless networks. The techniques to measure delay computation; we analyze the Cooperative MAC, Markov chain, and End to End Delay.
