Abstract

The piston of the engine is inevitably accompanied with vibration during its operation process, so it is particularly important to study its static and modal characteristic. The three dimensional model is imported into the finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench. The static and modal analysis of the piston is carried out. The equivalent stress, deformation, natural frequency and mode vibration are obtained. The analysis results provide reference and basis for the piston research and improve the efficiency of piston design and shorten design time.
