Applicant's Decision Support System for Choosing the Direction of Study

Abstract

The paper deals with the urgent task of developing a system that can improve the process of choosing an educational program by an applicant, based on his personal characteristics, interests and skills, and at the same time presented in a familiar and convenient environment for applicants. This requires establishing a correspondence between educational programs and types of socio-professional orientation, which in turn can be formalized as fuzzy variables. The purpose of the paper is to develop a tool for collecting data on students who are already university students, as well as laying the functionality for the subsequent use of this system as a recommendation for applicants.
