Abstract
This paper describes the new 1 kΩ and 10 kΩ Calculable Resistors that have been developed at CENAM in order to have a resistance reference standard at 1.592 kHz with traceability to the Quantum Hall Resistance. Important factors in the development of a Calculable Resistor like heat treatment and a welding technique are explained. Preliminary results shows a short term stability better than a few parts in 108 per day and temperature coefficients better than 0.5 (μΩ/Ω)/°C.
