Abstract

Optical injection locking is experimentally and theoretically demonstrated to enhance the RF gain and reduce the distortion of 1.55 /spl mu/m VCSELs over a range of carrier frequencies resulting from a high coupling ratio of injected power and VCSEL cavity.
