Abstract
The results of designing and simulation of multi-beam electron gun for high power tubes forming curvilinear beams turning at the angle 90deg. The gun contains 8 spherical cathodes oriented at the right angle to the axis of the tube. Turning of the beams and directing them to drift tubes (canals) are implemented by electrostatic field of the special reflecting electrode having decreased potential. Total micro-perveance of the multibeam flow is equal to 7 uA/V3/2. Area compression achieves 100, current density on the cathode -3.5 A/cm2.
