Abstract
This paper presents a conception of a multicriterial adaptive load shedding algorithm that is assigned to thermal power units when the island work conditions connected with the dynamic growing energy shortfall occurs. The main purpose of the multicriterial adaptive load shedding algorithm is determination of the real unbalance of the electric power estimation inside the separated subsystem electric network after disturbance, and formulation the command signals for tripping-out respective loads. This adaptive load shedding algorithm is based on an analysis in an every time interval /spl Delta/t after disturbance of the rate of change of frequency. Determination of the actual value of loads that have to be shut-down is based on the both an actual value of frequency, rate of change of frequency and the actual separated subsystem structure.
