The article describes the hardware and software requirements for using Lego® Mindstorms® EV3. It analyses its use in the development of logical thinking, teaching the basics of algorithms and programming, discovering knowledge, and gaining experience in mechanics, dynamics, construction, sensors, electric motors, or other subjects in the field of control. Lego Mindstorms provides design options for various robotic systems. It contains an intelligent brick with which it controls a set of modular sensors, motors as well as the entire system. Abstract
