Solving Crop Production Scheduling in an Agricultural Cooperative Using a Priority Based Heuristic

Abstract

This paper presents a priority based heuristic to solve the crop production scheduling in an agricultural cooperative. The objective is to minimize the standard deviation of the revenue per GH ($SD_{RGH}$) of farmers. The proposed heuristic includes two main steps, generate promise initial solution and improve solution using reallocating strategy. The proposed method is tested on the case study problems. The result illustrates that the solution obtained from the proposed method is better than those from the Gurobi solver v8.1.0.0.
