Abstract
The current technologies have increasingly allowed governments, in all spheres, to share a large variety of information with citizens who, in turn, expect not just a system with good usability characteristics but also unrestricted access for all citizens. To verify the extent to which such expectations are being met, there needs to be an assessment method applied to these software interfaces. In Brazil, the Model of Accessibility to Electronic Government [6] is an instrument developed for this purpose which allows verification of software interfaces by means of tests to see if these characteristic are operationalized or not. The use of tests based on this model is compulsory for the interfaces of Brazilian government websites and portals. The aim of this study is to diagnose the applicability of the e-MAG in the assessment of the DATAPREV website in order to inspect the usability and accessibility of this website but also to measure the extent of the understanding of the checklist to be followed by the systems analysts responsible for applying the test.
