The method utilizes a logical service model based on a systems view of these networks, as seen by users. Object-oriented techniques are used to describe a small set of modular classes of service objects that can be reused to design a robust set of AIN services. These techniques provide a means of shielding service designers from the underlying technical complexity of the networks and allow the model to evolve as the networks evolve.
