Abstract

Ridgewood School in north Doncaster is one of the UK's leading specialist schools in engineering and related technologies. The school has recently been awarded a second specialism in applied learning, and welcomes over 1,400 pupils through its doors every day. The author describes how the IET’s Faraday Web site, with a shot of inspiration from the BBC’s ‘Dragon’s Den’, formed the basis of a highly successful STEM enrichment day.
