The time histories, FFT spectra, phase portraits and Poincaré maps are adopted to investigate the influence of crack propagation on the nonlinear dynamic behaviors of the system. Further, the load sharing ratio (LSR) with respect to different crack levels are calculated and the influence of crack propagation on the load sharing characteristics of the system is discussed. Abstract

The load sharing analysis of planetary transmissions has significant influence on the operation and reliability of the gear system.
