Abstract

This paper presents the proposed methodology and the results of teaching renewable energy and distributed generation concepts (theory and practice) in an elementary school. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, an educational tool was developed, which is composed of a model of a sustainable city connected to a supervision and control system through a smartphone. As the main result, it was possible to motivate students to learn more about the concepts related to energy generation, as well as to spread out this knowledge outside the school.
