Abstract

Magnetless thin film optical isolators have been demonstrated that feature less than 1 dB insertion loss and up to 30 dB isolation. Ridge waveguide Faraday rotators have been demonstrated with more than 25 dB effective isolation and total insertion loss less than 2 dB.
