FREEDOM OF RELIGION, RELIGIOUS FREEDOMS AND POLITICAL EXTREMISM

Abstract

The subject of this paper is the discussion about human rights and freedoms of the citizens, established by the Constitution and the international documents, with a special emphasis on the freedom of religion and other religious freedoms and rights. In that sense, the assumptions for realization of the freedom of conscience are analyzed as a basis for strengthening the independent, free, and critical thought of the individual, the free development of the thought and the beliefs in terms of accepting views, beliefs, and knowledge related to religion. A special emphasis in this paper is given to certain forms of (miss) use of religion, as fanaticism, the religious integralism, extremism and the political extremism.
