Abstract
the mainline of beekeeping is honey production. Moreover, it is impossible to overstate the importance and the value of the bee activity to pollination. However, beekeeping is still poorly computerized and automated. To increase the efficiency of the beekeeper's work, it is necessary to improve both the software and the hardware of the apiary. This article describes a data acquisition system for an apiary, which allows for a timely assessment of the state of bee colonies. The hardware of such a system includes the basic set of sensors for taking biometric indicators. Moreover, we describe the information system that allows us to quickly respond to external threats, receiving information about the state of the apiary in real-time. In the experimental part of the study, we present the results of testing the considered system. The proposed approach can significantly reduce the death of bee colonies and reduce the labor intensity of the beekeeper.
