Abstract

Global trends in the information age wil1 be summarised, as well as developments of new technologies. Hence, the challenges to the geomatics/surveying profession are highlighted. Strategies to manage the future of geomatic engineering will be discussed, and hence an outlook for the geomatics/surveying profession in 2010 will be presented.
