Abstract
In this paper, the use of sensor network for in-door position detection in order to provide the location information for intelligent guidance is described. Automatic detection of location information can make the guidance system becomes proactive. The user no longer needs to input his location. This proactive guiding system includes Bluetooth advertisement, smart phone and guidance management system. The smart phone will receive the Bluetooth advertisement to determine the location information. The location information is thus used to direct the guiding APP to display information accordingly. This proactive method is different from the conventional method in which the user needs to input the location information to the guiding APP. In our system, both methods are applicable. The user can turn off the Bluetooth to terminate the location sensing. Due to the multimedia presentation capability of the smart phone, in addition to voice data, we can also include picture, video and text for user to browse. In our system, active interaction with an expert system to let the user to inquire information about the relationship among different artworks is also experimented. In our experiment, the Asia university modern museum is used as the test area.
