Abstract
This paper will address the difference between mathematical models and simulation models of a particular simulation environment for Dynamic Hybrid Systems (DHS). From the mathematical point of view, there are different environments available to introduce models for DHS. The simulation environments offer a more restricted set of modelling opportunities. In this contribution the difference of the mathematical model and the simulation model will be discussed, the influence in different case studies analysed and a benchmarking proposal presented which relates possibilities and restrictions.
