Abstract

Flow measurement is a technology that has developed rapidly in the 20th century. Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in industrial fields such as water resources, food, and chemical industries. They are closely related to daily life and play an important role in industrial development, ecological environment protection, and energy conservation. An improved excitation structure is proposed in this paper based on Helmholtz coil, and its magnetic field distribution is simulated. Through the analysis of the simulation results, the minimum coil width for obtaining the ideal uniform magnetic field is determined.
