Optimal Solution to Economic Load Dispatch Using Bat Algorithm

Abstract

In power systems economic load dispatch plays major role in economic point of view. In ELD the parameters voltage, real and reactive powers, transformer tapings, shunt capacitors are involved with inequality constraints. The primary objective of this paper is to minimize the power production cost with the help of metahuristic technique BAT algorithm. The algorithm is tested on six generators having fuel cost coefficient curves with dynamic load demand.
