Abstract

This paper explains Z source inverter (ZSI) having unique impedance network with its operation, control and simulation. Traditional current source and voltage source inverter (VSI and CSI) have various conceptual and theoretical barriers with some limitations. All these are overcome by ZSI. It provides a novel power conversion concept. Z source concept can be applied to all ac-ac, dc-dc, ac-dc, dc-ac power conversion.
